Organ Workshop will be held August 5–8, 2020. One-day attendance options are not available. Please plan to register early because space is limited. Registration for the 2020 program will begin on March 1, 2020. *Please note: the Open Console Experience is available every other year of the Organ Workshop. The next opportunity to play one of the big organs on Temple Square will be in 2020.
If you registered for a placement audition, we will email the sign-up list by July 15 to everyone who purchases this option. If you haven't received the email sign-up notification by July 15, please check your email and your junk folder to retrieve it. If you can't find it, please call Jenna Gillam at 801-422-6759 and she can help you sign up. Placement auditions will be held Monday, August 4, in the Harris Fine Arts Center, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

To allow us time to prepare needed materials, registration by these three methods will close on July 15, at midnight. No refunds after July 15.
The workshop fee includes four days of instruction, free admission to the pre-workshop seminar, and Hymn Sing.
*If you plan to drive on your own to join us, you do not need to pay this fee. Please check the White Board at the Registration and Information Desk at the workshop to see the posted field trip itinerary.

These are individualized 25- or 50-minute organ lessons that give you an excellent opportunity to receive help in hymn or organ certification, or in any area of organ playing. Limited practice times and choice of instruments will be available throughout the workshop. Play hymns or your choice of organ repertoire. Workshop participants under 18 years of age are ineligible. Extra fee: $15
Unsure about your level of organ ability? Find out by attending a 10-minute session with an instructor. Play a well-prepared hymn and/or a piece from the organ literature, and the instructor will recommend the organ instruction level that is appropriate for you. Workshop participants under 18 years of age are ineligible.*You will be contacted in July 2019 to schedule a time for your audition.

Before July 1, you can go online and withdraw yourself from the program with no processing fee changes. After July 1, a processing fee of $50 will be charged for each cancellation. No refunds will be given after July 15. Brigham Young University cannot be held responsible for any cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, travel agencies, or other institutions.
This workshop is designed for women and men age 18 and older. Younger organ students over the age of 14 may be admitted but should first consider the organ component of the Young Musicians Summer Festival, held at BYU each June. Please note: If you receive special permission to register your youth for Organ Workshop, a special waiver will be required as well as payment of a youth registration fee of $100. Participants under the age of 18 will be ineligible for some features of Organ Workshop.
Special permission and a signed parent release form are required for admittance of minors to the Organ Workshop. Please email email@example.com if you would like to obtain permission to register for the workshop. A signed parent release form must be turned in prior to enrolling in the workshop. Infants and children will not be admitted to workshop sessions.
Workshop participants are required to maintain the standards of Brigham Young University while attending the program, including abstinence from tobacco, coffee, tea, alcohol, and harmful drugs while on campus. The BYU dress and grooming standards emphasize clothing that is modest in fabric, fit, style, and length.
